Purpose
It is used to suppress low intraocular pressure that occurs when an aqueous outflow device is inserted for the treatment of glaucoma and to assist the control of intraocular pressure (implantation of aqueous drainage device)
Problems
Existing treatments such as glaucoma valves (drainage devices) and tubes frequently cause an excessive drop in intraocular pressure in the early stages
