June 13, 2026. TMD LAB Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hak-Joon Sung, Professor, Yonsei University College of Medicine) has signed a joint research agreement with Oh my teeth Inc. 【公式】Oh my teeth｜国内マウスピース矯正ブランド (Tokyo, Japan; CEO: Makoto Nishino), a company operating the clear-aligner orthodontic brand "Oh my teeth." The signing ceremony was held at TMD LAB's headquarters in Seoul.

The two companies will jointly study the application of TMD LAB's shape-memory polymer (SMP) technology, INNOSELF, to direct-printed resin for orthodontic aligners. INNOSELF is designed to return toward its original shape within the range of body temperature (37 to 40 degrees C). The research will explore how this property can be applied to clear aligners.

Roles in the collaboration:
- TMD LAB: development, supply and analysis of the SMP-based direct-print resin
- Oh my teeth: optimization of 3D-printing parameters, aligner design based on its treatment-planning know-how, and verification of safety and treatment steps, in cooperation with dentists and the research and review framework at Yonsei University

The verification phase is planned for approximately six months from summer 2026. Goals under study include reducing the number of aligner steps and exploring designs that do not require attachments. These are research objectives at this stage and do not represent guaranteed outcomes.
